The connections are all plastic, the washers don't do much of a job in the first place. They have a special "lock nut" which is also plastic to hold the diverter in place. We couldn't even get the slide bar installed due to the fact that we couldn't stop the main shower head from leaking in the first place! Absolutely cheap outsourced materials and horrible instructions. Quite the opposite. WE got it today and two of us have given it a try.Very easy to install and use. AS a matter of fact, I have an autistic son who we are really trying to encourage more independence and the slide bar that brings the shower head down to his level. He could easily take the hand shower off and back on the slide bar. So terrific for kids or someone with special needs. No reaching up required. The water pressure is not an issue and easily gets the job done but I've seen stronger. I installed this myself in about 15 minutes. I'm a 58 year old woman and fairly handy at DIY stuff. In a hurry and did not check for leaks before I finished installation--duh! So I had to take it apart and add some of the included plumbers tape to the threads of the water pipe. Otherwise, it would have taken 5 minutes. I don't think I could have found anything better for the money I paid. I have been very satisfied with this product and its functionality. I would recommend it for folks like me who can't afford to spend a lot--just check for leaks when the instructions tell you to! |
