Let me start by saying that I did NOT purchase this shower head. We live in HUD housing and maintenance installed this for us yesterday. With the shower head we had before, we pretty much could not take a shower--it used more water than taking a bath! The difference is amazing! Wonderful pressure and yet the tub was essentially empty throughout my entire shower. I've just installed two of these Niagara showerheads: a 1.5 gpm, and a 1.75 gpm. They are great. I was introduced to this item when our city had a drive to save water and gave everybody a 2.0 gpm unit in exchange for each of our old showerheads. What a great deal! It was a white unit (still available from sites on the web). The ones I just installed were chrome plated.I've noticed no lack of pressure when I bathe or wash my hair. They are compact, and the shower massage is even good. There is one advantage to the 1.5 gpm unit--I have a slow drain in that bath, and it does not overfill the tub. There is also one disadvantage--the low flow takes a longer time to come up to temperature. Hey! Nothing's perfect for everybody. But I do like these units, and I will certainly buy more for gifts. The Amazon price for these units is good (could be better!) and they look and work great. I like them so much, I wish I had several more showers at home. Quite A Change!, By R. I live with a roommate who doesn't pay his own bills and wastes everything (water, electricity, food, etc.). I bought this to cut down on our water bill and it definitely seems to be helping. On the setting with the finest spray you get a good rinse. I don't know if it would be the best for people with really long, thick hair but it's definitely a quality product that works as advertised. Taking a shower at a friend's house and feeling the pressure of a 3+ gpm showerhead made me realize that it's simply unnecessary. |
