Have tried it out after installation, and it works very well, providing a number of spray patterns.Now for the downside. The Amazon product description which states,in part," This Universal Spray Hand Shower in Polished Brass" etc., is deceptive and misleading. The product is NOT MADE OF POLISHED BRASS, but is made of plastic, with polished brass coloring. I thought the quoted price for a solid polished brass product was an exceptionally low one, but attributed the low price to a very good Amazon deal. Now I know why, it's all plastic, with a polished brass color. I considered returning the product, but my old hand shower head had broken, and I did not want to take the time required to obtain a new one. I just feel somewhat " duped" by what I feel is deceptive and misleading product description. It should have been stated that the product is made of " Polished Brass color... This has a very shiny brass finish and is lightweight enough to use easily, yet not flimsy - or at least the one I already have is. The only advantage of the older one I have is that the handle came with a black rubber grip area on the front side so the head cannot twist in your soapy hand, which is an issue with many hand-held units. I will likely just put a couple of wide rubber bands on the lower handle on the new one.The clip that holds the handle on the wall arm swivels well from right to left and up and down to aim the shower where you want it when using it as a conventional shower head. The hose is sufficiently flexible that it does not seem stiff and awkward to use, unlike some other models I have tried.
