I needed to get a grab rail and a hand held shower for my tub and decided to get the Atlantis VII Gold Rain Shower unit (with Amazon offering it at 1/3 less than other sites!). Now I am totally spoiled - being able to use either shower head or even switch between the two during a shower. The sunflower shower head provides a relaxing shower while the hand held shower provides the muscle behind getting seriously clean.

As far as I can see, this is functionally very similar to the more popular S-2005-H model, except that the adjustment between different spray options is set by rotating the outer ring instead of turning a knob on the side. I bought this one because I prefer this sort of adjustment, and I think this model looks less institutional.

The spray adjustment has a couple of extremes, with an infinite continuum in-between. At one extreme all the water is directed through the five sets of nozzles around the outside, each of which creates a conical pattern of several small streams. The five conical patterns partially overlap and provide broad, even coverage with solid pressure. At the other extreme, all of the water goes through the center holes of the showerhead, creating a compact and powerful stream. On the in-between settings, water is allowed through both sets of sprays, which softens the impact.

I did a bunch of research before purchasing this. I don't notice much difference in my skin or hair, but maybe I didn't have much chlorine in my water beforehand. I needed a new showerhead and wanted a hand-held one with a hose, so figured I might as well buy one with a filter. The showerhead is attractive, easy to install, has great water pressure, and the hose is long enough to easily wash dogs. The only thing I would love to have is an on-off switch for the hose, but otherwise this is ideal.

I bought this shower head at a local hardware store to avoid any shipping time. I was pleasantly surprised that a little roll of teflon tape was included in the package even though I can't see it mentioned anywhere on the packaging! This is such a good idea as those of us who do hardly any at-home plumbing probably don't have a roll handy. The shower head was easy to install and made a tight seal with that free tape!
